Tutoring For Student Athletes
At Optimise Learning, we understand that with the right support and resources, young people can compete at the highest level athletically and simultaneously pursue academic excellence. The aim of our tutoring program is to provide student athletes with personalised educational services and resources, to enable them to continue their studies whilst they are away from school training and competing.
Optimise Learning education co-ordinators contact each student athlete’s school and communicate with their teachers to develop an individually tailored program. Our highly experienced and successful teachers tutor students face to face or online, whilst they are away from school.
Optimise Learning’s online virtual classroom enables student athletes to access their lessons and learning tasks from anywhere at anytime. Our goal is to ensure student athletes re-join their peers at school, secure in the knowledge their academic learning has continued despite them being ‘off-campus’ for significant periods of time. Student athletes who study with Optimise Learning enjoy the unique opportunity of training and competing for their chosen sport, whilst completing their academic studies from anywhere, at anytime.

From the Preparatory Year to Year 7, we progress from an integrated approach in the early years of schooling to a more specialised, subject-specific curriculum in Year 7. Throughout the Junior School years, and especially in the earlier years, we devote particular attention to English, Mathematics and Science – the natural foundation of many learning outcomes encountered in later years.
In Year 7, students can select from the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, and History and Physical Education. They can also choose a language to study.
In Year 8, students can select from core subjects English, Mathematics, Science, History, Design and Innovation Studies, Geography and Physical Education. They can also choose a language to study.
In Years 9 and 10, students can select from subjects in the core areas (English, Mathematics, Science, History and Physical Education) and combine these with selections from a number of key learning areas. Subject units available include Business and Finance, Languages, Physical Education and Elective Science.
In Years 11 and 12, students follow the guidelines for senior studies set by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority, the National Certificate of Educational Achievement or the International Baccalaureate.
