My daughter has had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Optimise Learning. The online lessons worked extremely well and the weekly feedback has been so beneficial.
We initially approached Optimise Learning to work with our daughter after an interstate move. My husband and I wanted to make sure our daughter hadn’t fallen behind because of the move.
Tracey from Optimise Learning was very quickly able to assess our daughter’s strengths and weaknesses and she formulated a plan for my daughter’s tutoring. My daughter’s friend heard about her tutoring, and asked to join her lessons. Tracey established that the girls, who are in the same class at school, had similar strengths, so both girls were taught by Tracey at the same time, from their own homes. The girls loved seeing each other online during their lessons! They both learned a lot, and had fun at the same time.
Tracey has the most fantastic rapport with both of the girls in the session and is truly one of the best teachers we have come across.
We would highly recommend Optimise Learning. Optimise Learning has become one of our daughters favourite activities for the week and has fostered such a love for learning!
My children are in Year 4 and Year 2 and participated in face-to-face tutoring sessions with Optimise Learning at their school last year. When I contacted Optimise Learning recently to enquire about my children resuming tutoring, I was informed that online tuition lessons were now available. I decided to book online lessons for my children.
My children really enjoy working with their tutor online. My daughter said she prefers online tutoring to face-to-face tutoring because she finds it easier to focus, and finds the activities clearer to read on the computer screen, than on paper. My son said that enjoys wearing headphones during the online sessions, as all of the outside noise is blocked out, making it easier for him to concentrate. Because the online tutoring sessions occur at home, I can see and hear what my children are learning as well. I am very impressed with my children’s focus, and I can see that after each session both kids are happy and have enjoyed their lesson. Their marks at school have improved too.
It can feel confusing when choosing a tutoring company or a tutor for your child, there are so many tutors out there, but for me Optimise Learning is best because it is run by teachers.
I recommend Optimise Learning to any parent who wants a tutor to help their child with their school work.
Our school, Western Cape College situated in Cape York was fortunate to have Peter and Tracey Hand from Optimise Learning come and work with our students, staff and community around the area of Gifted Education. During their time at W.C.C., Peter and Tracey provided workshops for our students in Years 1-10, worked with teachers to support their understanding of supporting students with high intellectual potential and they also facilitated a professional development session on ‘Higher Order Thinking and Questioning Skills’. They also provided our parent group with a wonderful workshop on ‘Extending children at home and opportunities of enrichment out of school in a remote community’.
Peter and Tracey’s knowledge around Gifted Education, combined with their skills at communicating with professionals, students and parent groups, meant we were fortunate enough to receive sessions of the highest calibre and tailored sessions to suit our school’s needs. I highly value the work Peter and Tracey did with our school community and feel assured that they have had an impact on classroom practice for our staff and students. I would highly recommend them to any school that requires support around Gifted Education.
My 8 year old Jared was struggling through school particularly in mathematics, so a friend recommended Optimse Learning. Tracey has been wonderful since the first point of contact and Jared really looks forward to every Thursday afternoon with Tracey. She makes learning fun and the changes we are seeing through Jared’s grades is impressive. I highly recommend Optimise Learning!
I highly recommend Optimise Learning. My 14 year old daughter has enjoyed lessons with Peter Hand for the past three and a half months while we travelled throughout Europe.
Peter is an exceptional teacher who not only allowed my daughter to successfully complete the required curriculum program while we were travelling, but he also managed to make every lesson an enjoyable and engaging experience.
My daughter found the online face-to-face distance learning platform easy to use and a very positive way to maintain her studies.
Peter is an exceptional teacher and we are very grateful, as it enabled my daughter to experience all the benefits of travel while successfully continuing her education.
I recommend Optimise Learning for anyone who is considering a travel adventure with their children and would like educational support of the highest level.
Mr Hand is a great teacher and makes learning maths enjoyable and easy.
I recently took a Term off school to travel overseas and I was able to work with him weekly to continue with my school maths curriculum.
Having online face-to-face lessons was very easy and I really enjoyed being able to continue my studies while travelling and experiencing different counties also.
Thank you so much Mr Hand.
I could not highly recommend your service enough. We are so very grateful to have found you.
When my daughter’s teacher told me that she was struggling I contacted Optimise Learning to ask for their help, as a friend had told me about how they had helped her son. After just two terms of online tutoring, my daughter’s teacher has noticed a great improvement.
My daughter loves her tutor and we couldn’t feel more grateful! Thank you Optimise Learning!
After her first term of school, my prep aged daughter was getting frustrated and starting to avoid reading, both for school and for fun. That is when she started online tutoring with Tracey to help her with her reading.
With Tracey’s help, my daughter’s reading progressed very quickly. Tracey was able to identify those areas where she needed some extra help and within a couple of sessions she regained her confidence and love of reading and learning again. Tracey’s approach was so positive and encouraging that my daughter would rush to sit at the table to wait for her online session with Tracey.
She has continued to progress, using the strategies she learned in her tutoring sessions. As an added bonus, I was able to mimic the same language and techniques as Tracey, which made the time I spent helping my daughter with her reading much more productive. I cannot recommend Tracey and her Optimise Learning staff highly enough and wouldn’t hesitate to use their services for my other child when she starts school.
Tracey has always meticulously chosen the right tutor for our daughter. When Tracey was finding it difficult to locate an appropriate tutor within reasonable distance from our home she suggested the possibility of conducting online tutoring sessions.
We embarked on the online tutoring sessions with Peter and we have found them to be incredibly successful. Peter is engaging and motivating and our daughter has found the sessions to be both valuable and enjoyable, so much so that she now prefers them to the face-to-face tutorials.
Communication via Optimise Learning’s online platform has proven to be very easy and effective. As a family we have gained an afternoon at home which allows the rest of the family to continue with their own pursuits without interruption and the sessions are flexible enough to accommodate unexpected changes in routine if and when they arise.
Online tutoring with Optimise Learning has been a worthwhile and rewarding experience and one we will continue to pursue.
My son Marcus started tutoring on a Wednesday with Optimise Learning through Mooloolaba Outside School Hours Care and in a short time (a month), he managed to go up 2 reading groups. He is in Grade 2 and spent the first half of the year totally disinterested in learning. Through bringing it back to an enjoyable experience he is now more interested in learning and has gained much needed confidence. Thanks very much.
Please accept my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Optimise Learning for the extreme dedication and professionalism to assist my children. My son has been offered scholarships to attend Anglican Church Grammar School and Brisbane Boy’s College this year. Thank you to Mr. Peter and Mrs. Tracey Hand.
Right from the beginning conversations with Tracey through to the perfect selection of tutor for my son, it has been an amazing experience. Tracey’s knowledge and understanding of adolescent learning was comforting and her wiliness to listen to my concerns was refreshing.
My 8yr old is very bright but has learning differences. He doesn’t learn in the conventional ways and can also get very distracted. Prior to starting tutoring, he had huge anxiety during maths and had pretty much given up. After a very short amount of time he became confident and skilled at all the basics.
His tutor Tarsh has been instrumental in not only turning his grades around to high achievements, but has also given him successful strategies for calming his mind and focusing. She has also provided great detailed feedback about my son’s learning style and what motivates him. He loves his time with Tarsh and is now keen to stretch beyond the basics, even boasting a little to his friends about his Maths skills.
On behalf of Cengage Learning, I’d like to express our sincere thanks to you Tracey for the hard work you put into both the preparation and execution of this workshop. I was very impressed by the content of your powerpoint slides and handouts, so it was of no surprise when David informed me that your workshop was extremely well received by all.
I’m confident you have significantly assisted us and Child Ed in achieving our objectives, and we will keep you informed of developments resulting from your workshop. We, too, have enjoyed working with you over the last 2 weeks, and rest assured that we will be in touch when opportunities for further training arise.
Tracey you are an outstanding teacher who always had the very best of intentions for the most important people; the students, foremost in your mind.
Many thanks for all of your help and encouragement with Georgia’s reading and writing this year. Your time and efforts have helped her to succeed, thereby giving her more motivation and a will to learn. She is now enjoying reading and writing and will do it as a part of play and entertainment instead of just as school work.
Our 7 year old daughter, Lily, was having a struggle with reading. She had no confidence and was beginning to fall behind her peers. This was affecting her self-esteem in and out of school and her learning in other areas of Literacy. Tracey offered to take Lily on to help her with her reading every morning over a six week period. The improvements we have seen in Lily have been incredible. She has jumped from a level 10 to 26 in the space of a term and the confidence is back. Lily now has a love for reading that had gradually been lost and her skills in other areas of Literacy are on the rise as well. Tracey has continued to see Lily on a weekly basis to check in on how she is going. Lily loves the weekly catch ups. Tracey’s skills and fantastic, positive demeanour have really seen Lily blossom. We will be forever grateful for the time and care that Tracey has shown Lily as we now have a happy, confident girl who loves her learning again. Thanks Tracey!
Thank you for the time you spent with us and your significant contribution to the Primary School. I note particularly your professionalism and your ability to develop the capacity of other teachers.
Very enjoyable and bursting with practical ideas for the classroom. I loved seeing the photographs as examples also. Thank you for another great session Tracey and Peter!
Tracey is an amazing educational practitioner, for her it’s all about the child. She quickly develops a rapport with her students which then turns into a learning relationship. Tracey’s relationship with Lily directly affected her confidence with regard to her reading ability and her interaction with adults. This translated directly to her wanting to read at home again. Her desire to learn was re-ignited by Tracey which has been a joy for us to watch and experience. Thank you Tracey for giving Lily the confidence to read and learn without the battle!!
